How do I get booked?

Some Do’s and Don’ts for those who are new to the game!

The best way to get booked is to contact us via email. Here are some bullet points on what most booking agents like to get in such an email. Please try to be brief, as we do get a lot of requests!

  • Before you contact a venue, do your research. Make sure this venue actually books your genre.

  • Always include your band/artist name in the email subject line.

  • Introduce yourself with full name and band/artist name. If we have met you before it can be nice to include a reference, so that we can remember where we saw you before.

  • Write a short BIO. Include genre, inspirations, references to places you’ve performed, etc. If you have released some music, mention this. If you have released a lot, only mention the newest release. Let us know who plays in your band, and if you have ever played in other bands before this.

  • Your talent is being sold to a booking agent here, and I want to book you. What makes your music or talent worth going to a show? Here you can use humour, imagination, historical facts – be creative! Us booking agents are music nerds that love to talk about music. Do not focus on your dream about performing, but on the fact that you are an artist that is going to give the audience a memorable experience. If very few people show up at your show, it is unlikely that you will be booked again.

  • If you are a musician or a band, include a link to your music. This can be either Soundcloud, Spotify, Dropbox, iTunes, etc. This step is crucial! If you have not recorded any music yet, don’t send a phone recording from rehearsal. We recommend you wait until you have a properly recorded file to show us. It can be very detrimental if you send an agent low quality material. Even though you might be an excellent live artist, your first sample is your business card!

  • If you have, please provide a link to your website or social media accounts.

  • Let us know the date, week or month you wish to perform.

  • End the email with your signature: full name, phone number, email address.

 LOTS OF GOOD LUCK!

Kind regards
